Issey Miyake Vintage AW 1994 Black Crinkled Patchwork Dress and Jacket Set
Phenomenal vintage Issey Miyake ensemble from Spring/Summer 1994, shown here documented on the runway. This set comes with both a dress and a jacket, in a thick, black cotton with a crinkled textured throughout, with an intentional slight fade. Both pieces feature patchwork appliques with a raised edge frame in various shapes and sizes throughout, with intentionally frayed edges and details. The one shoulder dress features an upper that swoops atop or below the breast on the left side. Slightly roomy, a-line silhouette that can be adjusted and styled a multitude of ways via the intricate and varying ties that extend from each side. Off-set button up front. Matching jacket features an oversized silhouette and draping neckline, again with an off-set button up front closure. Both pieces are unlined.
